PS5 or Sony PlayStation 5 recent concept design show us that Sony will go to cloud gaming in the future and it is only a matter of time when will it happen. It is good and not good in otherside, but this is a topic for other time. You need to agree with that. Digital game market growing and this is the place where next battle between Sony and Microsoft will happen.
Ok, let’s look on this new design of Sony next-gen console.
The good information is that PS5 module for cloud gaming will be sold for a low price on the start, between 100 and 150 USD. The question is how much Sony will be want for a month or year of playing high fidelity games?
PlayStation 5 will get full backward compatibility with PS3, pS4 based on PlayStation Now service.
Main and first module of PS5 will get fast and secure CPU with DDR4 for control games streaming and all internet connections who will be compatible with broadbond and even 5G network and it will be able to play any multimedia files like movies, music, photos from USB drive plugged on the back or front. This module will also receive good sound chipset and next version of dualshock and PlayStation VR support (in this case PS5 will support camera).
Second module is dedicated for hardcore gamers and will get strong APU (CPU + GPU) from AMD based on ZEN 2 technology, GDDR5 RAM and hard drive (SSD or HDD, we don’t know for shure but i predict that will be HDD). This module will get 4K blu-ray drive with Dolby Atmos and DTS-X support. Price for this core gaming module will be high, you will spend minimum 300 USD for this, but I predict 399 USD as good price for this module and 499 USD will be a good price for all two modules together.
What about Dualshock 5? Controller will get minor upgrades but there is no revolution in control.
What about PlayStation VR 2? Cutting the wires will be good option here. Upgrade the controllers sensitivity will be good too. Introduction of better displays.
If Sony go this way, the next PlayStation system known as PS6/PlayStation 6 will be in cloud only.
Are you agree?
